TANZANIA

Dr. Elizabeth Mthembu Komanya, Founder of the Voice of the Great Commission Youth and Children’s Ministry/Church

Dr. Elizabeth worked tirelessly in Tanzania, both in ministering to many and supervising the construction of the church and other ministry buildings. She spoke on radio and television concerning the needs of families and relationships. She also did individual counseling both personally and through social media.

It is a blessing to see the church building in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, nearing completion. May the windows of heaven be opened to those who have given so generously and to those who will give in the future. At the same site as the church the foundations have been laid for classrooms, an office, and apartments. The vision is big, but we have a mighty God.

When the church is finished we will begin a School of Mentorship to meet the great need of teaching pastors and church leaders. Pastors will be taught how to be good shepherds to the flock; not to be selfish, greedy, or complacent. Leaders will be taught how to excel in their calling as they follow through the path that God has called them.

There will also be an emphasis on reaching out to meet the needs of youth, giving them direction both spiritually and physically.

We welcome to Tanzania anyone who would like to visit our various projects or assist with the work by giving their knowledge or contributing financially or materially. The needs here are great and the workers are few. People with expertise in medical fields, academic educators, construction workers, and vocational trainers such as mechanics, brick layers, computer technicians, etc. would be of great help here.

The Rise and Shine Bible Institute will be opening soon at the Voice of the Great Commission Center in Bonyokwa, Dar es Salaam. The Bible Institute is a mentoring program for church leaders and members.

The Director is Dr. Linda Werner. A library at the center has been established for students’ use.

The objectives of the program are:

1) The students will develop a greater intimacy and respect for God.

2) The students will acquire a greater knowledge and understanding of scripture.

3) The students will grow in their interrelationship skills with family members and others.

4) The students will develop leadership skills with integrity, compassion and wisdom.
